BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Understand Who We Are: Painters District Council No. 30

Aurora-based Painters District Council No. 30 (PDC 30) is a labor union representing construction workers in the finishing industry – painting, drywall finishing, wall covering, and glazing. PDC 30’s geographical jurisdiction covers 32 counties, primarily in North-Central Illinois (three counties are in Wisconsin). Part of our multifaceted mission is to advance the social and economic vitality of the community wherein our members work and live. To that end, we believe that good deeds done in cooperation and collaboration with community organizations, and within communities, establishes goodwill, a positive identity for our union, and high levels of credibility. This credibility is critical to the success of our union. It increases the likelihood of adherence to the union value proposition, encourages community engagement within our membership, and exposes us to workers performing finishing work without representation and/or end-users seeking quality finishing services.

Understand Who We Serve: The Mission of the PATCH Foundation

The mission of the Painters and Allied Trades for Children’s Hope (PATCH) Foundation is to provide financial support to local child-based community organizations in need. The PATCH Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that celebrates education, community development, innovation, and collaboration throughout Illinois. The PATCH Foundation Grant program was created to support organizations that work to combat the issues affecting children in our communities, including poverty, homelessness, emotional well-being, illiteracy, illness, and lack of education.

PDC 30 Partnerships

PDC 30 Partnerships As a union organization, we are very invested in the communities that we serve. We strive to create lasting partnerships with local organizations that align with our mission, and we are continuously looking for ways to give back. Following the grant award, we ask that you contact our organization for all future painting, drywall finishing, and glazing work. We ask for this commitment for at least a one year-period following your grant award. Read more about our partnership agreement here.

Jurisdictional Boundaries
