PDC 30 BLOG

PDC 30 is excited to announce the winners of our 2019 Grant Cycle.

Community Partnership Grants will be awarded to East Bluff Community Center (Peoria), Ecker Center for Mental Health (Elgin), PADS (Elgin), South Side Office of Concern/Phoenix Community Development Services (Peoria), The Neighbor Project (Aurora), and Tri-City Family Services (Geneva). Our organization will complete renovation projects for each award recipient throughout the remainder of the year. All renovation work will be performed by our union members - these highly trained professionals take pride in their work and continuously seek opportunities to volunteer their skills, showcase their craft, and give back.

The PATCH Foundation Grant will be awarded to Fox Valley United Way's SPARK Program. SPARK is an early childhood readiness program that works to make sure all children ages 0 to 5 are "strong, prepared, and ready for Kindergarten." They plan to use the $10,000 funding to develop a "Counting on Parents" family math initiative program to better prepare children for early education, and help instill early learning in homes that don't have access to quality preschool opportunities.

Stay tuned for photo highlights of each project and program updates, coming soon.

Thank you to all of the organizations that applied for a grant during our 2019 grant cycle. For information on our 2020 grant opportunities, visit our website: https://pdc30.com/grant.
